Probation Services is an effective and purposeful intervention targeted to youth that commit serious offenses and are at-risk for reoffending. Probation Services allow adjudicated youth to remain in the community under the supervision of a Probation Case Manager. Case Managers utilize evidence-based practices to help youth mature, build critical thinking skills, and address the underlying cause of their delinquent behavior. The department strives to connect youth to positive role models and activities in their neighborhoods by utilizing incentives and opportunities to explore interests and develop skills to motivate youth. The goal of Probation Services is to promote personal growth, positive behavioral change, and long-term success in the youth and families served by the Court.
