The Victim Impact Panel (VIP) is a monthly program offered through the Juvenile Court's Intake Office for youth who have been charged as delinquent. The program is designed to help youth understand the impact that crime has on others whether it is the victim, the juvenile's family and/or community. The panel consists of individuals from various backgrounds who share their personal stories and experiences in order to educate the youth and family about the physical, emotional, and financial consequences of crime. The goals of the program are to guide youth in taking responsibility for their actions, while also helping youth become more productive members of the community and make better decisions in the future.
